Cross Country 2011/12
Cross Country 2011/12
The 2011/2012 cross country season is fast approaching us, so we need to get ready before the season begins. If this is your first cross country season we will more than welcome you onto the cross country team and look forward to competeing with you.
For those who haven’t tried XC before: its best to have the right kit- either spikes or fell shoes and bring lots of warm clothing + waterproofs and with the exception of the Ingrams League, you’ll need a City of York vest
The Ingrams Cross Country will take place on 11th March 2012

Training
The middle distance group will move some of their track sessions to the Knavesmire to acclimatise to hills and grass. We will also organise weekend runs in the hills around York, including the Wolds.
Review
Last year the club were very successful – we had Northern individual and team champions; several top 10 finishes/times at the National relays and many athletes represented their county. Hopefully we can improve on that this year. But an equal measure of success is getting the greatest number of people out running.
