Middle Distance Group

  Middle distance sessions are run by Ian Wilcock (photo below), Andrew Nesom, Don McMillan and Paul Goble.

Level 1 athletes train 7 til 8 on Monday and Wednesday at the track

Level 2 athletes train 8 til 9 Monday and Wednesday (please warm up from 7.30 to start at 8)

In addition, the endurance athletes have a run on Thursday Evenings with Ian Wilcock and Dave Paver. They meet at Hamilton Panthers changing rooms at "Knavesmire Gates".

Contrary to what most athletes think warming down is important. Sitting down and chatting for ten minutes and then warming up again is why so many of you have tight muscles. In future the following WILL be followed:

  1. Minimum two laps immediately after the session.
  2. Change into flats and ten minutes easy running
  3. Static stretching
