The Stoop, 20th December 

Several of our runners were due to take part in the Loftus Poultry run on the same date, but it was cancelled due to the snow and ice. However, fell runners being a hardy breed, The Stoop went ahead. The race is from Haworth over a 5 mile course to the top of The Stoop and back, though the route was changed 

to make it a pure out and back course due to the weather. The weather was in fact pretty awfull with intermittent snow 

and a stiff breeze which made it feel very cold indeed.   The field was well down on last years race, due nodount to the 

weather.

Andy Normandale went to defend the over 50's title which he won last year. He ran well for 32 place overall,but was narrowly beaten by 

Ian Rowbottom of Ilkley for the over 50's title.
