Katy wins again

Last Saturday City of York AC has is first ever winner in the Northern X Country Championships which were held in Blackburn last weekend. The course was very heavy underfoot and hilly in sections but Katy made light of the conditions to win the u15 girls event. This is even more creditable as she will be able to enter this age group again next year.
Katy took the lead at the end of the first km and eventually won 7secs ahead the second placed girl. Katy adds this to her previous wins this season in the McCain Challenge race at Gateshead and the Junior Great North Run.
Congratulations also to U15 Connie O'Neil who finished in 18th place and to U13 Ella Eadon who finished 10th in the U13 girls event despite running the last half of the race in one spike.
