Triple lift for veteran Colin

City of York AC Veteran and hurdles coach, Colin Shafto won gold and set three new UK records at the British Masters indoor multi event championships at the Lee Valley stadium in Enfield at the weekend.
In the M75 pentathlon, Shafto, a European and World Masters outdoor hurdles gold medalist led from the start with a new British record of 11.82 seconds in the 60m Hurdles, followed by 3.77m in the long jump and 7.94m in the shot. Another new record was set in the high jump with 1.27m before clocking 5.13 in the 1,000m to finish with an overall 5,533 points haul - beating the old record by more than 800 points
