City of York's Laura a winner in pentathlon
Well done to Laura Skelton who won the Yorkshire Combined Events Championships at Cudworth on 13/14th September (results were: 75mH - 12.6s; Shot - 8.87m; LJ - 4.82m; HJ - 1.57m; 800m - 2m31s)
Laura followed this up by representing North Yorkshire in the 21st Combined Events Championships held at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on 20th/21st September. Full results on www.essa.net show Laura achieved 12th place of over 40 competitors in the ESSA Sainsbury's English Schools event by competing in 5 events (results were: 75mH: 12.53 secs, shot: 8.5m, high jump: 1.51m, long jump: 4.74m and 800m: 2.34.20 minutes).
