City of York Ingrams Solicitors Summer Athletic League Finale
Held on 14 Sept 2008 at Huntington Stadium, York
To close the York Track and Field competition season the final meet of the new Ingrams Athletics League took place at Huntington stadium last Sunday. Around 80 athletes aged 8 to 18 competed on the day to gain trophy points for the highest cumulative league scores from the four meets. City of York Athletic Club Chairman, Neil Hunter presented trophies to the top 3 points scorers in each category and congratulated his team on the successful first year of the new Ingrams League, which has offered local competition to almost 200 young athletes this year!
Thanks to the continued support of our main sponsor, Ingrams Solicitors, the Club continues its development of local events with the launch of the new Ingrams Solicitors Cross Country events, starting on Saturday 4th October. This series of 5 races will be held at the York Knavesmire, over distances from 1 kilometre for U11s to 10km for Seniors. For more details see the Ingrams Cross Country tab on the left hand side of this website. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams and individuals taking part in the new Ingrams Cross Country events. Cost is only £1 per athlete so why not grab a few mates from your workplace, college of school and get fit this winter!
