Paul's Throws Squad
The 2011 season has been a good year once again following a training camp in Portugal in April followed by some of the athletes went to compete in the Malta International with 8 athletes going and coming back with a haul of 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals. The athletes have trained hard and new athletes have also joined the group. The athletes have won various titles including County and region titles and medals with Under 20 Scott Lincoln winning silver at the UK Under 20 indoor championships, Bronze at the outdoor UK Under 20 championships and Bronze at the English Schools Championships as he builds up to trying to qualify for the World under 20 championships in 2012. If you want to come along and have ago you are more than welcome.
The 2010 season was another succesful season for the Throws Squad with Medallists and Champions at The Malta International, County Championships, Regional Championships, English Schools Championships, England Championships and both UK Senior and UK Age Group Championships. There were great Performances at these Championships where the athletes achieved new personal bests and some achieved medals. All the athletes once again all improved on their personal best since the 2009 season so hopefully this will continue to the 2011 season where hopefully there could be 3 or 4 International Vests this season. Keep up the good work.
The 2009 season was a great year for the Throwers with a lot of County Champions and Medalists. A lot of the athletes also won Northern titles and medals and some competed at the BUCS Championships (1 Medalsit), English Schools Championships (1 Medalist), The UK Outdoor Championships (5 Medals from 4 athletes) The UK Indoor Championships ( 2 Medalists) and the UK School Games (1 Medalist). Every athlete achieved new personal bests during 2009 and hopefully this will continue for 2010.
